Job Title: Midwife
Job Location: MBC Somitipara-  and Camp, Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh
Reports to: Sr. Training Officer (PC MBC)/Medical Coordinator.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Midwife who is knowledgeable, energetic, disciplined and proactive with a strong understanding of maternity care, ANC, PNC and family planning, reporting, documentations, health research and basic administrative management.  Midwife will report to Project Coordinator for admin and management and to Medical Coordinator for professional matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
She/He will devote time to the following broad headings:   
1. Clinical Care/Infection Prevention Control (90% of time):
• Provide direct maternal clinical care, working closely with the clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality comprehensive emergency and primary healthcare services Responsible to carry out ANC and PNC cases.
• Responsible for patients counseling specially in gynecological cases. Responsible for ward duty instruments during delivery.
• Ensure proper infection prevention practices including housekeeping prepare monthly report any work assigned as per advice by concerned authority.
• Prepare and present reports on cases, incidents, initiatives etc. during team meeting and monitoring patients record, investigations and collecting data & information Delivery of hygiene promotion, health education and patient/caregiver counselling.
• Ensure accurate recording of information in the clinic registers and timely completion of summary reports and Ensure wards/clinic areas are appropriately stocked with essential
• Ensure patient privacy is respected and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner. Follow MedGlobal Inc. guidelines and policies in relation to Gender Equality.
• Work in close collaboration with the Project and Medical Coordinator for quality assurance also liaison with doctors and provide services as necessary.
• Regularly record and review the patients reports/Health Card. Advise patients for do`s and don`ts and on medication.
• Ensure timely requisition, procurement and availability of medicine/medical equipment and other medical supplies necessary for smooth functioning of the facilities.
• Support the collection and accurate reporting of impact data related to the project as guided by the Medical Coordinator (MC) and Senior Training Officer/Project coordinator.

Educational Qualification:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery/Nursing & Midwifery
• Must have Valid professional registration/license.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
• A minimum of 2+ Years of experience at INGO/NGO is preferred but may be relaxed for a competent candidate and Must have Practical Work Skill in Midwife.
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Counseling, Doctor, healthcare, public health
• Experience in training facilitation and strong interpersonal communication skill with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels.
• Experience in working in Cox's Bazar area in an advantage Must have willingness to serve the Host and refugee community
• A team player with the ability to collaborate and work effective in multicultural setting
• Must have good interpersonal and language skill like: Bengali, English , and Rohingya
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor and must be ready to accept additional responsibilities as given by the supervisor and ready to work beyond working hours, at times, for the greater interest of the organization as and when needed.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required. as guided by the Medical Coordinator (MC) and Senior Training Officer/Project coordinator. 

Networking: (5% of time) Visit local Govt. admin authorities, NGOs/INGOs and stakeholders, with the prior permission of PC and MC to build rapport and understanding Refer patients in higher facility as necessary 
Others: (5% of time) Attend in-house and outside training as directed by the MC and PC. Keep work station neat, clean and tidy at all times. Work in close liaison with the MC and PC and submit periodical reports. Attend meetings as directed by the PC.
