Job Title: Community Health Worker, CHW – (Volunteer)
Job Location: Leda Camp 24-HP, Teknaf, Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh
Reports to: Medical Officer-HP.

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating with communities, clinic patients, and beneficiaries and ensuring smooth implementation of the project activities under the supervision of the Medical Officer-HP.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
He/ She will devote time as per the following broad headings:   
Clinical Care/Infection Prevention Control (90% of time):
● Help the supervisor in assessing the needs of MedGlobal health promotion activities and plan an appropriate integrated response that aligns with organizational and Health Sector priorities.
● Help the supervisor in planning, designing, and managing the implementation of health promotion measures to address priority public health risks according to the agreed plan and complementary physical sanitation measures.
● Collect Rohingya Refugees/Host community families' health promotion data using KOBO toolbox and other data collection platforms.
● Mobilize communities where appropriate to participate fully in this community health awareness program.
● Conduct community-based health education and awareness sessions for host community members, Majhis, Rohingya refugees, and facility-based sessions for patients. Community participation as much as possible throughout the program cycle.
● Coordinate with supervisor to develop/adapt hygiene promotion materials for use during an emergency operation for different target groups e.g. children, elderly, pregnant women.
● Support the supervisor in monitoring the impact of health promotion activities and provide regular, timely, and accurate narrative information to MedGlobal.
● Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the project team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Educational Requirements: SSC/HSC
· Preference will be given to candidates with Psychological First Aid (PFA) training.
· at least 1 year(s) experience in community engagement, data collection with KOBO toolbox.
· Should have knowledge on Public Health, WASH, MHPSS, and Community mobilization.
· Basic orientation on public health promotion for refugee camp
· Good communication skill in Bangla, English and Rohingya Language
· Experience in training facilitation and strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels.
· Experience working at the Rohingya Refugee camp is needed.
· Demonstrated experience of working closely with other health providers.
· Working experience in an NGO/INGO is an asset
· Effective presentation of relevant information (oral & written) 
· Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor and be mentally ready to work beyond the normal working hours in an emergency.
· Must have a willingness to serve the refugee community
